Part of our contract with this builder was to install 2 RSJs for two new openings. After the installation we noticed gaps above them on the inside leaf of the external wall. We expressed our concerns, which weren't rectified. So we arranged for the Building Control Inspector to visit. He said the house was Dangerous and ordered us to prop up the ceilings that day near the RSJs. We arranged for this ourselves. We have now 5 acro props to support the ceilings. It left us very worried that the safety of our house has been compromised. To rectify this and other work will cost us a lot of expense.
